Your Story

Making lifelong learning a reality

New: draft programme and directions
New: View the delegate guide (you don't need to print this - we'll give you a copy on the day).

We’re proud to invite you and one of your beneficiaries to a special celebration. Join the people behind a range of European education, training and youth projects that are actively addressing EU ambitions for skills, jobs and lifelong learning by:
  • Giving people of all ages and backgrounds the chance to learn or train in Europe
  • Improving the quality and efficiency of education and training through European partnerships
  • Promoting equality, social cohesion and active citizenship
  • Enhancing creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship

Why attend?

Take part in a 'Question Time' style debate involving UK and European policymakers, key experts and learners; visit interactive displays; and network with UK projects.

This is your opportunity to see what others are doing with funding from the EU Lifelong Learning Programme and Youth in Action, to share your own experiences, and to get inspiration for your next European project.

Your Story is all about making a difference. That's why we are holding this event at The Public Art Gallery - a world class arts centre in the heart of Sandwell. Sandwell is now among the most deprived places in the UK, but it wasn't always so. The Public reminds us of the area's industrial heritage and of the potential to restore the kind of creativity and local pride that once changed the world.

Who will be there?

 Representatives from:

- The European Commission
- Government and local authorities
- Education institutions (schools, colleges, universities)
- Not for profit, arts, adult education and youth organisations
- Small and Medium Sized Enterprises

If possible, please try to bring a project beneficiary along with you so they can share their story (simply select the 'group booking' option when you register).

Share your story and be inspired!

If you register to attend this event we will contact you at the end of May 2011 with further information and details about the conference.  For more information please contact: event.management@uk.ecorys.com
